Dyslexia Screening Test

If you feel that your child may be showing signs of dyslexia, you may prefer to have them screened rather than rushing into the expense of a full assessment. A screening test can be done online from age 5-16 years and comprises six digital tests which identify whether a pupil would benefit from further diagnostic assessment. Parents receive a computer-generated report suggesting interventions that may be helpful. The test takes about an hour but can be done in more than one sitting if necessary. Results are available within 24 hours.

The Process

Dyslexia Screening Test

£50

  1. Make a booking online from our website, by choosing an available slot on a suitable date. Please be aware that you may be allocated an alternative assessor from the one named on the booking slot. If there are no suitable slots for you, or if you would rather book directly than online, please do get in touch.

  2. If you choose to book online, you will be asked to pay an online deposit of £10 to secure your assessment slot.

  3. You will be contacted by a member of our team within 48 hours to confirm your booking, to give you the contact details for your assessor and to share the terms and conditions. This type of assessment can only be done online, but if you are in the Canterbury area and would prefer the test to be administered on the computer with the assessor present, this can be arranged.

  4. Your assessor will contact you directly at least a week before the assessment with a link to the online meeting (Zoom / Google Meet) which will be used for the assessment, and an invoice for the remaining fee of £40

  5. On the day of the assessment, you will need a quiet space with no interruptions or distractions. The person doing the test will need to share their screen via Google Meet as they work, so the assessor can see what they are doing.

  6. You will receive the computer-generated assessment report within 24 hours of the assessment date, providing the invoice has been paid in full.
